We photograph a lot of offices, and it is very clear that plants are increasingly deliberately included in the design. I have noticed a lot of coverage in the design world of 'Biophilic Design' and if you Google this it refers to the use of plants, nature and natural materials and finishes, particularly in the design of offices. Apparently, humankind's' innate biological connection with nature means that the inclusion of these features can reduce stress, enhance creativity and clarity of thought, improve well-being and expedite healing - and this can be both physical and psychological.
These offices were beautiful - open, airy, peaceful, and absolutely full of plants! On every spare surface, hanging from the ceiling, on the floor, everywhere you looked were a huge variety of different species of vegetation. And sure enough, everyone seemed happy, productive and calm - and definitely pleased with their new offices.
